The Sims 4 Island Living
Mua Pel'am is situated near the active volcano. Nature rules over this island, from the volcano to a waterfall to a cave. There are no sims that live on this island. There are currently two pre-built lots, the Admiral's Wreckage and the Caldera Camp, along with a free lot (40x30). Both Admiral's Wreckage and Key Point are "off the grid lots".
At EA Play 2019, The Sims 4 Island Living Expansion was announced for June 21, 2019 for PC/Mac and July 16 for the Xbox One and Playstation 4 Consoles. The new pack is set in an island nation with a very strong tropical vibe including many of the recreational and customary activities of places like Hawaii and Polynesia. Let's look at the features of the Expansion Pack, then I'll spit out a couple dozen pictures from the trailer so you can see details.
The island is home to Elementals, ancient spirits that will be displeased if you treat the island poorly like some filthy litterer, but may befriend you if you take care of the land. There is a deep sense of community here, with impromptu community gatherings and kava parties on public lots. Neighbors care about you and may come help if you have a fire.
While the new Conservationist Career is focused on improving the health of the Island's ecosystems, all Sims can take part. Island living features a system that tracks your progress in improving the health of one of the three islands, one that is a refuge for wildlife. Collecting garbage, performing scientific analysis on water quality, or passing new regulations can all make a big impact. You might also confront a litterbug.
The island improves in look when you do this. The palms grow more green, more butterflies appear on the beach, and flowers bloom. Sulani's coral systems also grow healthier, with a much more colorful set of reefs appearing as you proceed with the quest to clean up the island. Learn more about this system in the Guide to Conserving Sulani's Ecosystems.
Learn about the Conservationist Career and cleaning up Sulani's Ecosystem. The island can be improved twice, for mostly visual effects but the new career is hands-on and offers various ways to make money.
There are likely active elements to the new environment-focused Conservationist career. Conservationists can have a direct impact on the ecosystem of the island. Actions and choices have an impact - the island changes over time if you take care of it with more lush greenery and more butterflies. You'll directly take care of the island's litter problems so the critters and reefs can thrive.
I want to know more about the "Off-Grid" cooking options. I was really excited about this off-grid thing but so far am not too impressed with it. Am I only able to make toast from now on? My sims are always gardenig foodies. Off grid and gardening go hand and hand in my mind, yet I can't cook any of this? Huh? How do some of my seemingly electric lights work? So many questions about this.
In The Sims 4's latest expansion, you get to escape the city and suburb life and immerse in a breezy lifestyle by the beach. Explore the island life embraced with sun, sand, and various activities that will transform your Sims into a professional beach bum.
2) Rock the Island Attires. As with any expansion, there are new clothings and this one is no different. The theme this time is laid back, carefree island wear and there are a lot to choose from. You can gear up for water activities like snorkeling and swimming.
3) The Geography. The world of Sulani is split into 3 parts, each with their own lot traits and only applies to the island: Oceanic Paradise, Clothing Optional, Island Spirit, Off the Grid and Volcanic activity.
19) Say No To Littering. The Island of Sulani has a quote unquote health, the more you clean up and take care of it, the happier the island is. Be sure to do your part and pick up the litters.
Overall, Island Living added a substantial amount of content to the already enriched The Sims 4 universe. The expansion offered several welcoming features, although some were basically retool of The Sims 3: Island Paradise. Nonetheless, it is a great change of pace, tone as compared to the previous expansion and it will certainly fulfill many players' dream of living that carefree life by the beach.
Themed around life on the tropical island of Sulani, this Sims 4 expansion focuses on beach holiday activities from sunbathing to snorkelling, as well as on the conservation of the natural environment, and the aforementioned new occult creature type - mermaids!
The Sims games are all about living out your fantasy life, and who hasn't at some point fantasised about being a mermaid? Imagine a life of basking on rocks and swishing your beautiful rainbow-coloured tail around in the water! Befriending dolphins and learning the secret language of the fish! Luring unwary land-dwellers to their deaths with your irresistible siren song!
Sage is focused on making sure everyone takes good care of the island and invites her boyfriend Jace to stay. The girls also throw a traditional island party and Airi befriends two people who she discovers to be mermaids. At the end of the episode, Airi is shown eating mermaid kelp.
Sage manages to improve the island with the help of her attractive co-worker, Makoa... Meanwhile Airi decides she loves the way Serena and Naomi live as mermaids and wants to join their way of life in the sea.
Airi loves the life as a mermaid, but still wants to keep it a secret, especially when her parents live on the island too and she doesn't want them or Sage to know. She also meets the merman from the cave, but things don't go as swimmingly as she first thought. Meanwhile, Sage invites Connor, Summer and Sebastian to the island and recruits them to help tidy up the island.
Sage and Airi are having trouble getting along after Sage found out Airi is a mermaid. Airi refuses to help Sage with cleaning up the beach and to believe that Sage has to look after her and feel like a parent to her. Sage forbids Airi from seeing Yuda after believing mermaids are bad and Airi has her first kiss with Yuda after they go to another island in the sea, together.
Sage wants to leave the island as she feels she doesn't need to be here for her job. Airi has now aged up into a young adult and decides to join the diver career as she is a mermaid. Meanwhile, Sage prepares to say goodbye to Makoa and makes a heat of the moment choice that could change things with Jace forever.
Buy The Sims 4: Island Living key and experience the tropical fauna and flora first-hand. Developed by The Sims Studio, and published by EA, this sunny hot expansion brings a whole ton of festivities to enhance your play to even greater heights. Explore the island paradise with sandy beaches, elegant and relaxing parties, and vast blue oceans! Also, make your Sims into mermaids and interact with dolphins!
EA also announced a partnership with It Gets Better, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and encouraging LGBTQIA+ communities, to add game features such as gender neutral bathrooms. The Sims has a history of empowering players to live out their virtual lives in any way they see fit, so such features are a welcome addition for players who appreciate being able to see themselves more fully realized in the games they play and the digital lives they build for their sims.
When living upon the island, I think that the new traits Child of the Island and Child of the Ocean are perfect for native Sims as they would naturally have the deepest connection with Sulani. Sims with the Child of the Island trait can even summon the elementals, which will trigger ancestors to appear whom you can interact with!
Speaking of dolphins, your Sims can interact with dolphins!! And they are so FREAKING CUTE!! Mermaids can summon a special azure dolphin using their powers and if the island is in a pristine state you might even encounter an albino dolphin! Regular Sims can find grey dolphins swimming around buoys on a couple of moments throughout the day. You can then try to befriend them, which can be quite difficult as they might flip you off due to their own free will and stubbornness.
Maybe building your dream vacation home on a tropical island isn't really in the cards for you in this life, but this is of course where The Sims 4 comes in. EA's life simulator is headed to the beach with its new game pack Island Living, announced at E3 and out tomorrow. This is a full expansion pack, which means it comes with new items, a new location and a whole suite of new activities and ways to move your Sims through their always growing world.
There's a bunch of other stuff in here too. The biggest addition is obviously the island of Sulani, a South Pacific-looking place that should be a good addition to the ever-growing list of vacation locations for your Sims. That comes along with beach activities like sand castles and suntanning, the latter of which should be handy in all sorts of locations, as well. This extends to the ocean, which has a whole functioning ecosystem including sea turtles and dolphins. That ties into the new conservation mechanic, which means that your Sims now have the opportunity to care for the beach and island ecosystem or, presumably, let it go to hell.
Additionally, The Sims 4 revealed a new partnership with the It Gets Better Project, a non-profit organization working on empowering LGBTQ+ youth. On June 18th, It Gets Better-related apparel will be available in-game for your sims (for The Sims 4, The Sims Freeplay, and The Sims Mobile), this on top of gender-neutral bathrooms and several other items for The Sims 4. Like with the expansion, the fruits of this collaboration will arrive on PC and Mac first, and in July for consoles. Another collaboration with Moschino will also bring a heap of new outfits for your sims to wear as well as the new fashion photographer part-time job. More info on the Realm of Magic pack has also been promised later this year. 041b061a72
