Hello, I went to my first snowboarding trip last year and I plan to go at least once or twice a season with my friends (2-4 days at a time). Would it be worth it to buy a used snowboard(+bind, boots, and helmet) than renting? What would you recommend to look for/avoid when buying a used snowboard?

Well, although they would be right that Chamonix has plenty of the above, it is also a great place to learn to snowboard and get inspired. So here is the Onyxsnowboarding guide to the beginner snowboard areas of Chamonix.

If you want to eat out at a Japanese restaurant you can expect to drop at least 2000 per person on the low end. We went into the board shop to look at buying a new snowboard and the retail price was 30% more than what we would pay back home in the US or Canada.

Choosing your first snowboard can be tough. First off you will want to make sure you have the right size board for your height and weight. A board that is too small can be to squirrelly and unstable, and a board that is too big can be hard to maneuver. Check out our snowboard buying guide on our website and if you already know what you want, and be sure to check out our gear over at this page here at The-House.

KIDSLike a beginner snowboard, a Junior board will have a softer flex making it easier to learn on and accommodating to smaller, lighter riders. While it may be tempting to size up when buying for your little one so they have room to grow into it, going too long too fast might hinder their progress. For an affordable way to keep your kids on the slopes as they grow, check out our Junior Exchange Program.

If you're just starting out on your snowboard journey, we've got a handy all mountain snowboard buyer's guide which will help you get educated on the basics involved in buying a snowboard, otherwise here's our pick of the best all mountain snowboards for the 2023 season.

To be fair, so are we. Snowboard manufacturers are constantly evolving designs and changing the goalposts and buying a snowboard is no longer as simple as deciding between rocker and camber. This makes it even more important to carefully read the manufacturer's description and if at all possible go to a demo day and test some of the snowboards for yourself to see which works for your riding style.

If you're about to purchase a new pair of boots, or you're having trouble with the fit of your current pair, make sure to keep these guidelines in mind. Additionally, we've built a 4-part buyer's guide to finding the perfect fitting snowboard boots.

You can begin skiing or snowboarding at any age and in general it takes only a few days of guided practice to grasp the basics. The sports however do not come without risk, and while learning from friends or family can be fun the safest and fastest way to learn is through professional instruction. 041b061a72
